Roots in Central Florida

I have lived in Central Florida for 20 years and graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelors in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration. I currently live in Mount Dora, and my mom, dad and extended family are Apopka residents.

I own Barrel of Books & Games, a new and used bookstore in downtown Mount Dora.

Effective Elected Official

For the past two years I have served as the At Large City Council member in Mount Dora. I am the only candidate running for this seat this year who has experience as an elected official. I am proud that I fulfilled every one of the campaign issues from my 2018 Council race, including policies to increase public safety and move infrastructure expenses to future growth, rather than current residents,

by supporting long-term bonding. Last year, I successfully pushed to lower our millage rate. This year, I was voted "Most Effective Local Elected Official" in Mount Dora

Community Volunteer

I am a volunteer with the Lake Cares Food Pantry. I actively assist our library system. I am also in the 2020 Leadership Lake class, which covers all aspects and activities of our county government.

Career Experience

I have career experience to back up making sound decisions. I started my first business with my brother while we were in high school, baseball cards and comic books. By the time we graduated, we had 3 locations. I worked my way through college on a variety of jobs, including setting up cost accounting, tracking and budgeting. My post graduate career started at Infocure, a large NASDAQ traded medical billing software company in Atlanta. Next, I moved to the New Orleans area to join the Treasury Department as an accountant for Stewart Enterprises. Stewart Enterprises, another NASDAQ traded company, is a large company that was founded in 1910 and is America’s second largest provider of funeral and cemetery services. I was responsible for tracking investments and creating financial statements. I returned to Florida to join Enterprise, the international car rental company, where I was branch manager in Orange City and in Deland. Along the way, before starting my business, I worked for Walt Disney World, United Parcel Service, and the United States Postal Service.
